Hello, visitor!
As of this week, all Event pages have finally been completed. Pages for every Seasonal event have been created, and the War pages got a massive makeover to bring them up to standard with the new pages. The Limited Rare page has also been updated after a long time.

Season's Greetings, kind visitor!
I'm proud to announce that the main listings found on the left-side navigation panel (Weapons, Armors, Robots, Vehicles, Achievements, etc.) are now up-to-date, as well as most of their respective Image Directories (I am still working on the Achievement Image Directories Complete: Achievements/Image Directory2). You may notice that the Weapon Image Directories now use transparent PNGs instead of in-game screenshots, which were useful for demonstrating their size relative to your character. Although both types of images are great in their own ways, this was done because we now have a far more complete collection of the former.
Additionally, the 
tag has been reinstated after years of being lumped with the 
tag. Hopefully, this will be useful while browsing! I've attempted to check that all tags are used accurately on the main listings, though I have yet to go through the shop pages for errors.
Finally, you have likely noticed that dedicated guides/pages for all limited-time events in EpicDuel are slowly being built, a fairly ambitious project spurred to action by the new Battlepass feature, designed to be helpful and to document the game's rich history. You will find these under the Quick Guides section, just below this announcement. The last main type of event to be done are the Seasonal Events, which are challenging due to their sheer volume of content but will hopefully be dealt with in time.
That said - while it's been impossible for some time now to keep the entirety of site as polished and up-to-date the way it was in the starting years, I am always thinking of more ideas to improve it. Thank you for still using EpicDuel Wiki!

With the announcement earlier this month that development of EpicDuel has been discontinued and the developers were transferred to the AdventureQuest 3D team, we have disabled new user registrations on the wiki.
It's been an amazing 7 years and we've certainly accomplished a lot here on the wiki. Back in 2010, we introduced the Armor and Weapon Spreadsheets to help players easily sort and compare items. We first introduced image directories for Achievements in 2010 and expanded that to cover Armors, Robots, Vehicles, Weapons and more in 2011. We've introduced countless redesigns, such as shop pages in 2012, NPC pages in 2013, mutating weapon pages in 2015, and many more. We painstakingly added full view and relative size images for weapons and armors to improve your viewing experience. And of course, we also listened to your feedback along the way by implementing many of your suggestions and conducting 2 user opinion surveys.
The entire wiki team has always been hard working, dedicated players of the game who volunteer their own time to help the EpicDuel community. They were often under appreciated and forgotten in the background, but we were always here every week, updating the wiki as fast as we could after a release.
On behalf of myself, 8x, Valencia and other past and present members of the EpicDuel Wiki Team, we thank you for joining us through this journey and hope you find the information we've compiled here useful.

Please be advised that I have added a new field to mission pages that will now be mandatory going forward. The new |ChainName= field appears directly above the |Chain1= field and will be filled in with with name of the mission chain. This will link to a new mission chain page, which will also have to be created using the new Mission Chain template. Please update all existing mission pages to include this field, if applicable.

Please be advised that the |RarityScore= field for all regular weapons and armors should not be filled in and thus, should be removed from the page. The template will calculate the rarity score based on the rarity type and varium cost of the weapon or armor. This currently only applies to weapon and armor pages, please include the |RarityScore= for other item pages. Thank you.

For the first time ever, the EpicDuel Wiki is now accepting applications to join our team! If you have some spare time and would like to help out beyond a regular wiki member, this call is for you! There is no set deadline for wiki staff applications right now, so you have enough plenty of time to edit and create pages if you haven't started already. To apply now, or sometime in the near future, please visit EpicDuel Wiki Staff Application. Be sure to read the entire page before sending in your application to ensure that your application looks the best it can be! Update: The deadline for all applications is October 10, 2013 at 11:59 PM EST.

EpicDuel Omega has now been released, which means the wiki needs to be updated and our team needs your help in doing so! Since the majority of contributors are new to the wiki and may not have any experience at all with wiki editing, I'll try and make the process as painless as possible. I do ask of one thing though, and that is you read and follow all the guidelines outlined in the to-do guide. We're trying to get this done as quickly as possible so failure to comply with the guidelines will result in a temporary block from editing until a point in time when the staff is able to deal with the issue. Editing Reminder | February 5, 2013 |

This is a brief, but hopefully informative reminder to new contributors. The Wiki Staff have noticed that there are a lot of minor mistakes being made around. Please remember to refer to an existing page when creating a new one (eg. have an old mission page that is properly formatted open while you edit a new mission page). Keep the wording mentioned in the old pages constant with the new ones you create.
Please also keep your edits to a minimum when editing one page. Use the Show Preview button before saving your edit to ensure it looks good, rather than constantly saving the page and creating unnecessary edits.
This shouldn't require reiterating, but we ARE here to help you. Don't hesitate to contact one of the Wiki Staff Members, and we'll gladly help you!

Ever since yesterday's Design Notes, members of the wiki team have been getting tons of messages on Twitter and the Forums with players offering to contribute, and our team is very pleased that so many people are willing to help. If you would like to get a head start now, you can take a look at our Wiki Tutorial so that you'll have the knowledge of how to edit when the time comes.
Once Omega is live, I will be posting another announcement that will explain to all you potential contributors what you will need to know on pages that need to be updated, created, fixed and how it should be done.
For now, I would ask that you only edit if necessary (such as fixing a mistake, adding some information that was left out, etc). Please do not add unnecessary or redundant notes to pages, if you're unsure if the note you wish to add qualifies or not, feel free to post on any staff member's talk page. This is so that we don't have to go back and revert your edit if it does not meet our guidelines.
Also, the design note post was a call for contributors rather than new wiki staff member/s, but if you're wondering how to become one in the future, this page provides you with all you need to know.

Today, the 18th of December marks a very special day on the wiki - it's our 3rd birthday! Granted, when the wiki first started there was nothing here, but in the past 3 years we've accomplished quite a bit.
Since I've never seemed to remember to write this in years past, let's take a look back at some of the major milestones we've reached. Over the years, one of the biggest accomplishments for us was replacing the ED Forums Encyclopedia and being recognized with the 'official' status. Twas was a wonderful day and since then we've made many major improvements to the wiki, such as adding spreadsheets for sorting equipment, redesigning nearly all guides, templates, and pages (even the front page!), surpassing thousands of pages created and tens of thousands of edits, improving our help pages, adding alternative ways of editing, and much more. We've even entered the social media sites of YouTube and Twitter (and just hit 1000 followers too)!
Now I could sit here and list all the things we've done over the years to make the wiki a better information hub for the players, but that would bore you to death and there's a good chance you've already stopped reading. With that, the entire EpicDuel Wiki Staff would like to thank you for a great 3 years.

EpicDuel Omega is just around the corner and with the elimination of set stats on weapons and armors, we've received a request that we keep an archive for historical purposes. Archiving these stats has begun by the staff but if you're a user and wish to help, see this post first to receive an assignment. Please note that you will need to register an account and join the "EL - Helper" group in order to view the thread. Do not simply start editing pages, go to the thread first to avoid any conflicts between you and our staff.

The long awaited Wiki Tutorial is finally here! We've been working on this for weeks and with input coming from the Wiki Staff, we've been able to design a tutorial that's simple yet effective to help you get started in editing. If you have any suggestions for the Wiki or for this Tutorial, feel free to let us know through our suggestions page.

If you follow the @EpicDuelWiki on Twitter, you would have seen the Sneak Peek of yet another template refresh posted last week. That preview has now become a reality with all 65 shops on the wiki refreshed with a brand new look. Some key design changes are the mini-icon on the left used for easily distinguishing credit/varium items, along with a listed price on the right for quickly seeing how much an item costs without opening its individual page. Some of you might have noticed that we recently made some changes to the mission template. Mission images were removed and mission text was hidden, since both can be seen in game. I just wanted to let you know that some of the mission pages have not been updated yet and are not showing all of the information.
We have also made some changes to the event pages. We merged pages from the same events and made them easier to use.
If you would like us to make changes to any other templates or if you have any suggestions please let us know in the suggestions.

A Refreshed EpicDuel Staff List! | July 7, 2012 |

The EpicDuel Staff list was one of the main topics in our User Opinion Survey and the changes that have occurred today will help increase the usefulness of the page. First, a "Contact" column has replaced the former "Status" column. Not to worry though, the status of the staff member is still available as a coloured background to their contact links. The AE Staff List has been removed because of its members' inactivity but you can find a similar list on the forums. The last improvement was a visual change to the staff members' individual pages, which now only includes necessary and useful information. Be sure to take a look at the newly update page here and report any errors you may find on the talk page.

If you haven't noticed already, we recently renamed our Clans Category to Factions. That means the rules for creating a faction page have also been updated. In addition to that change, our faction templates have also been updated to reflect the recent in-game changes regarding factions. If you have a faction page on the wiki, please be advised that it will need updating using the modified templates. Also be sure to maintain your faction page and keep it updated as inactive faction pages (<1 edit in 90 days) will be deleted.

This was something that I've been meaning to create since mid-2010 so this is a long overdue project. As the wiki increases in player usage, we can see more players contributing. Before today, contributing content to the wiki may not have been easy to do, even with our templates. That is why we have introduced a new method of creating and editing pages on the wiki, forms! If you've been snooping around the Recent Changes Log over the past few days, you may have seen me working on them and today they're complete! All of the template pages have been updated to include the form method, and a new Forms Index page has been created, which conveniently allows you to use any form currently available on the wiki. These forms were on our to-do list for a quite some time and with them finally done, we hope that they will make your editing lives much easier.

This is a reminder to all EpicDuel Wiki members to please follow the Wiki guidelines. When creating pages, we ask that you use the proper template for the page. All text should be written as it is in-game and should also use proper spelling, grammar and punctuation. Any images for items should be uploaded as 150x150 pixels whereas others should be cropped to the nearest 5th pixel. Place holders such as "under construction" should not be used. Also before saving a page, be sure to use the "show preview" button before saving the page to ensure that anything you have done to the page looks right. Remember that creating and editing pages is not a competition rather than a service to players of EpicDuel seeking information.

You might have noticed the format of many of our pages have been changed recently. Don't fret! Starting with a major clean up of the NPC pages, most of the wiki will be rearranged, reorganized, and refurbished to make it easier to use and find info! On top of this, in the coming weeks, you can expect a new easy-to-use interface that will make contributing to the wiki a piece of cake! After all, it's all of you guys that help keep this place running!
