Image Uploads

Hey,

It is unnecessary to upload the image with anything in the Summary box. Please leave that blank and only add the appropriate Image3= field on the actual weapon page (not the image page).

Additionally, it is critical that you do not change how the image name of the weapon is formatted when uploading the relative size image. If there is a spelling mistake, if the name is completely incorrect, leave it as it is. (eg. Charfadestaff.png will become Charfadestaff3.png, not Charfade'sStaff3.png nor Charfadesstaff3.png nor CharfadesStaff3.png) If this is not done, then the image directory will break and everything will need to be redone.

Hey,

Like I said in my previous message, do not create image pages with |Image3= Whatever.png. That is only for the actual weapon page, the image page should be completely blank and underneath the image there should be no text whatsoever.

If you follow the steps exactly as I have outlined on the ED Wiki To Do List, then you can not go wrong. Which step are you following where it says to do this?

I blocked you because even after 2 warnings from me, you still continued to improperly add the Image3= line to the image pages and you are still doing so incorrectly. To add a signature, copy and paste the 4 symbols I said in my previous message.

2nd Amendment is an example of a correctly linked relative size image. Your mistake is not that you are linking the image improperly, it's that you are incorrectly uploading the images and are adding extraneous information. In the destination filename box and only in the destination filename box should you put WhateverStaffImage3.png, nowhere else. Do not create the page "File:WhateverStaffImage3.png" with the name of the image and do not enter the name of the image in the summary box.

There is no difference any more, because I have fixed your edit. However, if you look at your revision in the page history, underneath the image you will see an extra line in white text that says "|Image3= Cryomancerstaff3.png" whereas in the fixed page and in the example I provided you, there is no extra line of text.

Talk pages are only permitted to be located at "User talk:PageName" for users and "Talk:PageName" for content pages. They can not be located anywhere else.

I coded my talk page myself, so if you would like a talk page design that is different from the default one, then you will need to code it yourself. Since this is beyond the standard scope of the wiki, there are no tutorials or templates that we provide.

RE: Guns

I usually use the image directory to determine whether or not all relative size images have been added. Sometimes a gun could be left off the directory, so you could go to Guns and check all the pages there.

I don't know which guns need to be updated, if any at all. You will need to find them using the methods I described above.
