Adding the actual update into the release notes on the main page, is only possible if you're a wiki admin or higher. We have the page protected from normal users. If you're wanting to make separate pages for individual items then that is a different story.

Edit on Broken Dark Varium Blaster

Hey Skullknightreaver,

As the EpicDuel Wiki:Editing Guidelines states, content images must be originally saved and uploaded in .PNG format (not .JPG). They must also be taken on the high game quality and cropped to 150x150 pixels. As a result, your image has been deleted.

White tiger.png White Tiger | My Talk Page - EpicDuel Wiki Bureaucrat 14:16, 3 March 2012 (EST)

Changing from a JPG to a PNG doesn't change the quality of the image so you will have to recapture the image and when you're saving it, you have to save it as a PNG.

By 150x150, I literally meant 150x150, nothing more and nothing less. Resizing an image isn't the proper way to get an image to the correct size but rather cropping it to 150x150 on the first try is. The exact height of the image (without the grey borders) should be 150 and all you need is to crop the width to 150 too, starting from the left. If you require help, please send my the full screen image and I will crop it for you.

Confirm Before You Edit

Hey Skullknightreaver

I request you to check the price and location before editing any item(Use vend bot, Item Finder). Do not just copy paste them with old price and location.

Confirm Prices On VendBot Item Finder

Hey Skullknightreaver.

You see every Item(weapon, armor, aux etc) has different prices at different level, so checking your sell back or buying price with a NPC will not help, as it will show the price depending on your level.

Check the prices and location with VendBot Item Finder(You can find one in Overlord Facility)

P.S : You even edited and made changed to my edit.(there are many) If your not completely sure, please do not make any edits.

  • Note this Point : Purchase/Sellback Prices should be listed as the lowest possible value! (This means without any stats or damage.) If a value is unknown, leave it blank but do not remove the line.

Prices

Whether a price is correct or incorrect, do not change to price in a separate edit. All prices will need to be changed by the staff in the end, which is why I'm not reverting the majority of all edits.

RE: Monstrous Broadsword

Hey,

It is wiki policy that we keep the name for the player at the time when the suggestion item was first introduced in-game. This is so that we do not have to keep track of who changes name when, and so that the page history isn't spammed with edits fixing the name.

White tiger.png White Tiger | My Talk Page - EpicDuel Wiki Bureaucrat 20:26, 2 July 2013 (EDT)

That would be no different than what I mentioned above as they would both require editing every time someone changes their name. The list of suggestion items will only continue to grow, which means there will be more players that need to be tracked for name changes. I understand your frustration with players that accuse you of cheating, but what you are suggesting is not optimal for the future.

User Page

Hey Skullknightreaver,

I noticed the user template on your userpage is broken. Just change {{User to {{User2 and it will be fixed.

Recent Edits

Hey,

You have recently used multiple edits to change something that could have been done in significantly less. As that is considered spam editing and is a violation of the rules, please use the ShowPreview.png when editing pages to avoid this from happening again. You should only be saving a page once you are fully satisfied with it and no sooner than that.

Hey,

When creating pages, please remember to check the formatting requirements on Formatting Pages. Also, please follow the upper camel case convention (aka Pascal case) for naming file images.

I believe all templates should redirect you to the proper formatting and help pages. Which page/s did you use as a reference for the location field? That page will need to be changed as well.

Sorry, I should have been more clear. I was referring to the "Location=" field on the weapon pages you created.

The wiki's generally fine with getting images, it's just the matter of finding the time to get the images. There are tons of items that don't have a full view image solely due to the fact that it's a tedious process to get them. It's also why I introduced the relative size image, which also shows a full view of the item but it's significantly quicker for me to get. If you were to get full size images, my only request is for you to preserve the original size of the image. Since it's usually something usually restricted to the wiki staff, there are no real size limitations for them (although don't go overboard and increase the size of the image), so it's not necessary resize them. For images that do have an empty border around the weapon, it's best to remove them so that there is no unnecessary transparent border (in Photoshop, a trim -> transparent pixels will do this perfectly).

We'll only need full view images for weapons and armors. The images of the auxiliaries you provided are quite large, so resizing them to around 350-400 px would be best.

RE: Home Item Images

Home item images must be edited and placed on this background. Home items that fit in the background and look good should not be resized, home items that do not fit in the background must be scaled down appropriately such that it looks good on the background (see some similar existing home item images for a reference on how small/large an item should be). The items must also be centered vertically and horizontally.

Images

Hey,

The weapon images that you have uploaded are scaled larger than they should be. When you upload images at 150x150, can you please ensure that the game is running at its native 900x600 resolution and you are not zooming in on the game or the image. You can verify this by checking whether the maximum possible height for the image (without including the borders) is exactly 150px. If the maximum image crop is not 150px in height, then please ensure it is before cropping to 150x150.

White tiger.png White Tiger | My Talk Page - EpicDuel Wiki Bureaucrat 20:08, 4 October 2014 (EDT)

You made the width of the image smaller, however that was not my issue with the image. If you compare the image you have to an image that someone else has uploaded (eg. File:PurpleSaberSword.png) you will see that the text on your image is significantly larger than the proper image. Like I said, this is usually due to not running the game at its native 900x600 resolution, or scaling the game/image up through other means. You can view this video, around 0:30 to see what I mean by the height being exactly 150px. Your image should be cropped using the top and bottom grey borders as a guideline and if the image size is correct, then you do not need to worry about the height being 150. Additionally, it is my personal preference that no items are included in the background of the image (so that there is a nice clean black background) and while it is not mandatory, I will eventually end up replacing any images with items in the background with one that has a blank black backgound.
