PvP Drops are limited-time drops from winning PvP battles and, sometimes, beating certain NPCs. During a PvP Drop Event, you can earn rare Achievements and rewards for collecting certain PvP Drops. Not to be confused with War Events.

Arcade (Old)

Arcade (Old), introduced with the Beta Evolution 1.0.7b update on February 26, 2010 was the precursor to PvP Drops as we know them today. Arcade Battles could be played by paying 5 Battle Tokens at Valestra's Arcade Pod. You had a chance to win a drop if you won the battle.

Broken Items

Arcade (Old) was succeeded by the Broken Item system, considered the first iteration of PvP Drops, introduced with the Delta 1.4.2a update on February 10, 2012. Broken, Rusted, and Rotten Items could drop from winning PvP battles that were weaker versions of existing weapons. Broken Items were weaker version of Varium items that could be fixed at Ulysses for a fraction of the original Varium cost. The max sellback price for all of these items was 1000 Credits. Hoverbike and Assault Bot E from Arcade (Old) were also migrated to the new system.

The new PvP Drop feature made it possible to implement PvP-based Wars starting with the July 2012 Infernal Infiltration War, in which War Bombs obtained from PvP Drops could be used to earn Achievements and rewards. Wars are a type of PvP Drop Event, but because they have additional mechanics that set them apart from other PvP Drop Events, they are treated as a separate Event type not to be discussed in detail on this page.

When Omega went live on February 5, 2013 and unique weapon stats were removed, the concept of Broken Items became obsolete, and thus the PvP Drop feature was temporarily scrapped.

Omega Relaunch

PvP Drops returned with the Omega 1.5.8 update on March 28, 2013 with the launch of the Epic Egg Hunt Event. Eggs could drop from winning PvP Battles and be turned in through the Egg Hunt Interface. The Egg Hunt was immediately followed by the Arborgeddon Spore Hunt Event, which had a similar premise. Following Arborgeddon, PvP Drops were again abandoned with the launch of the original Dread War (War 1.0), which utilized an Influence per battle system, until it was eventually replaced with War 2.0 with the Omega 1.6.6 update on March 13, 2014, the never-ending regional War cycle that utilizes the War Bomb PvP Drop system we know of today.

2022 Relaunch

The PvP Drop feature was relaunched with the Omega 1.8.52 update on February 4, 2022 to enable multiple drops to drop at once. Since then, the PvP Drop Pool has been continuously updated.
