Omega 1.5.39 - 15/11/2013

Balance Changes

  • Health per stat point has been increased to 1.25 from 1. Now every 4 stat points will give +5 Max Health.
  • The base damage of all weapons (Primary, Gun, and Auxiliary) has been lowered by 2. The new minimum damage is 1.
  • Critical Strikes now ignore 30% of defenses, down from 45%.
  • Critical Strike minimum damage is now 3-5, down from 4-7. It increases at level 15 and 30.
  • Energy per stat point has been increased to 1.25 from 1. Now every 4 stat points will give +5 Max Energy.
  • EMP Grenade
    • Base energy drain was increased from 7-24 to 12-27.
    • Cooldown was increased from 2 to 3 turns.
    • Level scaling was removed.
  • Atom Smasher
    • Cooldown was increased from 2 to 3 turns.
    • Energy drain amount was increased by 2% at all levels.
  • Static Charge
    • It was made unblockable.
    • It can no longer cause a critical hit or be affected by rage.
    • Cooldown was increased from 2 to 3.
    • Energy restore amount was increased from 22-37% to 40-70%.
  • Static Smash
    • Energy drain was lowered from 43-73% to 38-68%.
  • Static Grenade (Replacement of Bounty Hunter EMP Grenade)
    • It has a base energy drain of 10-25.
    • It steals 50% of energy drained.
    • 0 Energy cost, 3 turn cooldown.
    • It gains +1 energy drain for every 4.5 Technology.
  • Battery Backup
    • Base energy gain was lowered from 20-45 to 20-35.
    • Level scaling now works properly.
  • Assimilation
    • Energy steal was increased by 4 at all levels.
    • It now steals 50% of energy drained, down from 100%.
  • Energy Parasite
    • In cases where the enemy has more than 150 Energy, it will work as though they had 150 Energy instead. This is intended to only affect NPC battles.
  • Plasma / Mineral Armor
    • Defenses were increased from 15-60% to 30-100%.
    • It is no longer affected by stat buffs and debuffs.
    • The duration now properly lasts for 4 turns.
  • Hybrid Armor
    • Defenses were increased from 10-30% to 15-50%.
    • It is no longer affected by stat buffs and debuffs.
    • The duration now properly lasts for 4 turns.
  • Mark of Blood
    • Energy cost was adjusted from 13-31 to 15-24.
  • Toxic Grenade
    • Energy cost was adjusted from 15-33 to 10-28.
  • Venom Strike
    • Energy cost was adjusted from 14-32 to 10-28.
  • Reflex Boost
    • Energy gain effect was removed.
    • Dexterity bonus was increased to 2 at all levels.
  • Smokescreen / Malfunction
    • Level scaling was removed.

Other Changes

  • Omega 10,000 Varium package was removed.
  • Exile and Legion 10,000 Varium packages were removed.
  • Dread 10,000 Varium package was removed.
  • Omega item are now tagged as Ultra-Rares.
  • Promotional items from Dread, Exile and Legion packages can now be sold.
  • All skill effects now only play once in order to improve performance.
  • Battle error and status messages now include skill icons.
  • Skill icon images have been given an update.
  • Chairman Platinum's battle background was updated to look like his current background area.
  • Retrain, Redeem Code, and Item Finder options have been removed from NPCs and added to the Upgrade Shop.
  • Weapon damage was lowered by about 4 on all NPCs.

Bug Fixes

  • NPCs with Bloodlust are no longer returned twice the intended health.
  • Effects of Color Blast and Shadow Arts now clear upon death in battle.
  • Mark of Blood can no longer be cast on targets that are already marked.
  • Shadow Arts now only darkens the caster and it no longer affects things like robots and skill effects.
  • Energy Parasite no longer restores energy on dead casters and it no longer visually revives them.
  • Players no longer get a persistent yellow loop when loading battles.
  • Players are now unable to change gear while moving.
  • Flags can no longer be highlighted in battle.
