Every time you level up, you receive 4 stat points. There are a total of 6 Stats into which you can invest stat points in.

  • Health: Increases your Health. Each stat point investment increases your max Health by 12.5 points. In addition, you gain 4 Health per character level.
  • Energy: Increases your Energy. Each stat point investment increases your max Energy by 12.5 points. In addition, you gain 1.5 Energy per character level.
  • Strength: Increases base damage range of Primary and Sidearm, and enhances certain skills.
  • Dexterity: Increases Physical Defense, block chance, and enhances certain skills.
  • Technology: Increases Energy Resistance, Robot damage, deflection chance, and enhances certain skills.
  • Support: Increases base damage range of Auxiliaries, increases chance to go first, critical strike chance, rage rate and defense ignored on rage, reduces chance to be stunned, and enhances certain skills.

Affects of Stats on the damage ranges and skills are affected by Diminishing Returns.

Diminishing Returns

Diminishing Returns were introduced to EpicDuel on April 8th, 2011 to discourage the use of spam builds. After reaching a certain point in a stat, the effects of stat points on damage and skills will be lowered. Lower ranges are rounded down, whereas upper ranges are rounded up.

Focus

In-game description of focus.

Focus was introduced to EpicDuel on April 16th, 2010 to encourage balanced builds. Focus improves robot damage for all attacks through an even distribution of stat points.

  • 25 Stat Points in Strength, Tech, Dex, and Support: Level 1 (+40 Robot Damage)
  • 30 Stat Points in Strength, Tech, Dex, and Support: Level 2 (+80 Robot Damage)
  • 35 Stat Points in Strength, Tech, Dex, and Support: Level 3 (+120 Robot Damage)
  • 40 Stat Points in Strength, Tech, Dex, and Support: Level 4 (+160 Robot Damage)
  • 45 Stat Points in Strength, Tech, Dex, and Support: Level 5 (+200 Robot Damage)
  • 50 Stat Points in Strength, Tech, Dex, and Support: Level 6 (+240 Robot Damage)

Focus is currently capped at Level 6.

The required stat totals for focus are from base stats only. These totals do not include the stat bonuses gained from weapons or armor.
